1. Carrie is the story of Carrie White, a teenage outcast in 1970s Maine.
2. She turns out to be telekinetic.
3. She comes from a context where she has been abused, not only by her peers but by her own mother her entire life, and she is kind of a simmering little pot of rage.
4. Meanwhile, there are machinations happening among her classmates to get her into prom, some for good reasons and then there’s also a kind of counter-plot to embarrass her horribly at prom, and when this happens she ends up unleashing her telekinetic powers on the entire town and like, kills 400 people and blows a bunch of stuff up.
